Seed germination, sowing instructions for Mexican giant hyssop. Agastache mexicana is easy to grow from seeds. Hardy perennial. The plant prefers well-drained soil and a sunny location. Sow in spring indoor and only just cover the seed. Usually germinates in 1 - 3 months. Prick out the seedlings into individual pots when they are large enough to handle. Plant out in early summer.
